My journey from being a teacher and a principal to diving into the hospitality world has been nothing short of exciting. It’s here that I found my calling as a cake designer, a home-baking blogger, and a food photographer.
Growing up, our kitchen was more than just a place to cook; it was the heart of our home, filled with laughter, heart-to-heart talks, and unforgettable memories over delicious meals. It’s no surprise that I fell head over heels for everything food-related.
In 2022, I launched Mabel’s Confections, my cozy little home-baking business. But as I baked and frosted, I discovered another love – capturing the beauty of food through my camera lens. Every photo I take tells a story, filled with the same warmth and love I felt in our family kitchen.
Now, let’s talk about what I can bring to the table for you! As a food photographer, my job is to make your tasty creations look as good as they taste. But I offer a lot more than just snapping pictures. I provide food styling, prop sourcing, and prep services to make sure every shot is just right. Together, we’ll brainstorm ideas, create mood boards, and do some test shoots to get the perfect composition for your brand.
When the shoot day arrives, it’s all about team work. I use tethered capture technology which lets us see each shot in real-time, making sure we get the perfect pictures. After the shoot, I’ll send over the photos through a secure cloud-based system for easy access.
